SCORES OF FUN

Price Bloodstock kept a winning connection intact with the Fun Loving Syndicate at Sha Tin on Sunday as three-year-old Scores Of Fun landed a victory at his first racetrack appearance.

Every time the Fun Loving Syndicate has purchased a horse from Price Bloodstock, it has been a winner, including the excellent performers House Of Fun and You Gotta Pay, and trainer John Size suggested a bright future for Scores Of Fun, too.

“When a horse wins at their first start, that’s not easy to do against more experienced horses so it’s usually an indication that they are going to win more races,” Size said. “He had done everything right in his trials and his preparation, he hadn’t given us any concerns. He has the right abilities to win races, he has some speed and a good attitude and it was a case of him coming to the races and being able to make that count under race conditions. That’s where a lack of experience can work against a horse but it didn’t in this case, he coped with the pressures and did what we hoped he would.”

Scores Of Fun trialled in Australia for Patrick Payne under the name of Hottie Lamottie and has a bit to live up to as his mother, Montana Hilton, won 9 races but there’s no doubt he has inherited plenty of the family talent and made a great start.
