Price Bloodstock had a powerful line-up in the main sprint at Happy Valley on Wednesday night and didn’t let anyone down by landing a second Class 2 quinella in successive meetings.

With Sight Success, Scores Of Fun and Drops Of God, most punters put their money behind John Size winning with one of the Price Bloodstock trio and it was Scores Of Fun who got the result after a brilliant Zac Purton ride.

Sight Success took up the front running with Drops Of God following him and Scores Of Fun next along the rail and, when Joao Moreira got through to grab the lead with Drops Of God in the straight he looked the one to beat.

But with Purton angling through narrow gaps, a very willing Scores Of Fun was strong in the final 100m to make it back to back wins at the Happy Valley 1200m and 6 wins from 20 starts in his career.

Drops Of God held on for second and Sight Success also banked a prizemoney cheque, finishing a close fifth .

“They’re all very good horses for their owners, they all ran well and it was a bit of a test tonight for Scores Of Fun as he had not won in Class 2 before in a couple of attempts but he handled it well this

time,” Size said. “Zac did have gate one tonight, which helped, but he used it well and gave him a good ride and the horse gave his best, as he usually does. He has done a good job – that’s over $7 million in stakemoney now and it’s rare for him to run a bad race.”
